5 Week Beginners Yoga Course - with Mary Ramage

The aim of this beginners course is to give those brand new to yoga, the foundations and tools necessary to confidently join drop in, open level classes.
Split over 5 classes, we will focus on the following key lessons and together we will learn:

* The importance of breath: how and why we focus on the breath as priority in yoga classes
* Strong foundations: the importance of grounding and rooting through your foundations in each posture
* How to link breathe and movement: stringing postures together through our breath, we will learn basic sun salutations - breaking them down posture by posture.
* Key standing postures: foundations/alignment/gaze point. 
* Basic back-bends and inversions 
* Key seated postures 
*How to find our own flow!

6 Week Pregnancy Yoga Block - with Roz Zyw

Wednesdays  6-7pm

The intention of pregnancy yoga is to offer a little piece of sanctuary to you during your pregnancy. A welcoming and supportive space where you can cultivate strength, awareness and emotional well-being, so you can embrace the changes during pregnancy, feel empowered and prepare for childbirth and motherhood, both physically and mentally.Pregnancy Yoga classes are a great way to nourish our bodies and physically and emotionally improve our health and wellbeing.

In each class we will move through different yoga poses and explore breath work and relaxation tools to relax and calm the mind.

We will cover the following topic areas during these classes, to support you on a physical, emotional and mental level through your pregnancy and beyond:
*. Breathing and visualisation techniques to assist in birth preparation and deep relaxation to enhance general health and well-being for mum and baby
*  Yoga and breathwork techniques to support common symptoms of pregnancy such as - heartburn, leg cramps, nausea, carpal tunnel syndrome, lower back pain, pelvic girdle pain (PGP), separation of the abdominal muscles

These classes are suitable from 12 weeks of pregnancy and no previous yoga experience is necessary. Classes run weekly and bookings are taken as 6 week blocks, single classes may sometimes become available.

Family Yoga - - with Roz Zyw

Recommended for children aged from 3-12 years old and their parent(s) or caregiver. All levels come together in a lighthearted environment to experience this joyful, fun practice. We will explore poses, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.

Yoga helps kids to:
Develop body awareness.
Manage stress through breathing, meditation and movement.
Improve concentration.
Increase confidence and positive self-image.
Feel part of a healthy, non-competitive group.

Birth Preparation & Yoga - 6 week block - with Tessa Welsh (Yes Yoga)

Fridays 8th November - 13th December (6 weeks)

7pm - 8:15pm

Tessa draws on her experience as a birth doula, perinatal yoga teacher and mother, to offer these unique classes in active birth preparation and pregnancy yoga.

 

The intention of these classes, is to honour this transformative time for a woman, providing a welcoming and supportive sanctuary during pregnancy.

 

These classes run in 6 week blocks, suitable for all levels, from 12 weeks, right through to birth.

Each class incorporates; breathwork, yoga postures, visualisation, active birth and relaxation techniques and discussion, centred around informing, positively empowering each woman’s unique experience.

 

 

Yoga can help alleviate common symptoms in pregnancy, and cultivate deeper emotional, physical and spiritual connection. Regular practice can provide powerful tools to support a calm connected pregnancy, a positive birth experience and journey into motherhood.
