The aim of this beginners course is to give those brand new to yoga, the foundations and tools necessary to confidently join drop in, open level classes. Using a container of time in which to learn, this is a safe and supportive environment which encourages learning at your own pace.
We will cover what yoga is, mind/body/emotion connection, key posture categories, the linking of movement & breath, the foundations of flow.
This class is suitable for people with little or no experience of yoga. You will be introduced to the principles of yoga and will build a solid foundation of practice. This includes key posture groups, breathing exercises and gaze points that work together to bring the mind and body into alignment and create a deeper sense of wellbeing. This will be held in a relaxed environment where students are encouraged to ask questions.
Yoga helps kids to develop body awareness, manage stress through breathing, meditation and movement, improve concentration, increase confidence and positive self-image and feel part of a healthy, non-competitive group.
In these classes, children will be introduced to yoga in an age appropriate style. We will explore poses, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques in a fun, light-hearted environment.
Recommended for children aged from 3-12 years old and their parent(s) or caregiver. All levels come together in a lighthearted environment to experience this joyful, fun practice.
Classes include poses, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.
Family yoga for children with ASD is similar to our general family yoga class but with a smaller group. There is more awareness around sensory needs and stronger focus on grounding postures and breathwork.
Suitable for children up to the age of 12.
Due to the diversity of individual needs, some families may benefit from an initial 1:1 session to see if a group class would offer a positive experience for the child.

This class is a mixture of both Yin (longer held poses) and Yang (more active flowing poses). Designed to gently open the body up by working into the tissue that surrounds the muscles and joints in our Yin, aiding flexiblility and promoting gentle release. We then move into our more dynamic Yang practice, we will compliment this by strengthening the muscle groups we have created space for in the Yin practice with playful flows.
Yoga is an ideal complimentary practice for every activity that puts pressure on the joints and tightens the muscles and connective tissue surrounding both muscles and joints.
Yin yoga consists of longer held poses that are designed to gently open the body up by working into the tissue that surrounds the muscles and joints, aiding flexiblility and promoting gentle release. Yin is practiced with the use and aid of props and is mainly mat based. This is open to all levels of yoga experience.
